Beth Nugent
Beth Nugent is Associate Professor of Writing (1998) at the Art Institute of Chicago. She received her BA in 1978, from Connecticut College and her MFA in 1982, from the University of Iowa. She has written a collection of short stories City of Boys (Knopf, 1992) and a novel Live Girls (Random House, 1997). Her work has appeared in the Norton Anthology of Contemporary Short Fiction, Black Warrior Review, The New Yorker, North American Review, and Mademoiselle. She has received an NEA Grant and awards from the Colorado Arts Council and Illinois Arts Council.
