Dana Shavin's essays have appeared in Oxford American magazine, Alaska Quarterly Review, The Sun, Fourth Genre, Third Coast, Puerto del Sol, and others. She has been a columnist for the Chattanooga Times Free Press for nine years, and in 2008 was the recipient of a Literary Arts grant from CreateHere. She is currently seeking representation for her memoir, Home Becomes You.
