George Conley, Jr.


George Conley
George Conley is a native Chattanoogan and spent much of his career working in higher education as a college administrator. He has served students at UT-Chattanooga, Clark Atlanta, and Florida A&M University. Most recently, he taught creative writing to Upward Bound student’s summer program at UTC. He graduated in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in communications and returned to UTC to complete his graduate work in English, where he was the first graduate in creative writing with a concentration in poetry. George has published poems in UTC’s own Sequoya Review as well as Black Magnolias Literary Journal, Jackson Mississippi. Presently, George is working on his first chat book to be published by Eureka Press, spring 2011.
