Philip F. Deaver


'Rider' in Residence (Phil Deaver) Philip F. Deaver, Writer in Residence at Rollins College and the 1986 Flannery O'Connor Award winner for Silent Retreats, is also author of a poetry collection, How Men Pray. He edited an anthology of CNF, Scoring From Second: Writers on Baseball, and he has held fellowships from the NEA and Bread Loaf. His work has appeared in Prize Stories: The 0. Henry Awards, and The Pushcart Prize.
