Susan Thomas

Susan Thomas has published stories, poems, and translations in many journals and anthologies and is the author of State of Blessed Gluttony, the 2004 Benjamin Saltman Poetry Award Winner from Red Hen Press. She is co-translator with Deborah Brown of The Last Voyage: The Poems of Giovanni Pascoli. Her work has appeared in over a hundred journals, including Atlanta Review, Crab Orchard Review, Southern Poetry Review, Cimarron Review and Feminist Studies. She has been a recipient of grants from the Vermont State Arts Council and the Barbara Deming Memorial Fund, as well as winner of the Iowa Poetry Award, the Ann Stanford Prize, and prizes from The Mississippi Review and the Spoon River Review. Her chapbook, The Hand Waves Goodbye, was published by Main Street Rag in 2002. She lives in Vermont.
